Infest the Nation @ The Bearded Lady from 7pm

Infest the Nation is back for it’s fourth show and first of the new year, continuing it’s mission to expose some of the amazing talent hidden underneath the fridge of Brisbane’s underground hip-hop scene.
Featuring another solid lineup of newcomers to the event who’ll be taking the stage to support everyone’s favourite community radio station 4ZZZ. This event also falls within 4ZZZ’s Brisbane Live Music Week event, and all proceeds go to keeping the station alive and independent.

 


Danny Widdicombe @ The Triffid from 6pm

Danny Widdicombe is a talented Brisbane musician who plays in The Wilson Pickers, performs in a duo with Andrew Morris, and as a solo artist. Danny has released 3 albums to date:

The Transplant Tapes (2006)
Dominoes (2009)
Find Someone (2011).

 


Simon Simon @ Black Bear Lodge

SIMON SIMON create sun-bleached rainbow psych/rock tracks in the hope of making someone ‘feel something nice’. Consisting of three music students, SIMON SIMON deliver a high-intensity , high-energy show that is possibly a bit too ‘musically colourful’ to handle. On the 23rd of March, SIMON SIMON will be joined by some great bands at Black Bear Lodge to launch their fourth single SLOW DOWN.

The J Spot are going to be chatting to Paul Robinson from the New Globe Theatre about what it’s like to run a live venue under Brisbane’s current cultural climate (expect lock-out laws talk)

Camping have Kitchen’s Floor coming in to chat about 4ZZZ + BLMW present Autumn Atonal show happening at The Brightside on March 26 and to play a special Kitchen’s Floor acoustic set.

The New Releases Show have a special live performance from Twin Haus recorded live at Bedlam Studios, exclusively for 4ZZZ.

Queer Radio have Wacey Coates (of Rawr Vanity) will play their 1st single “Keep On Close To The Water” – live in studio.
